The page is officially turned for Carey Price. His house in Candiac is now sold, and he no longer has a foothold in Montreal.

It’s really sad. We know the family was renting the house to a Canadiens player while it was on the market, and they didn’t seem in a rush to let it go.

In hindsight, I think Sean Monahan might have been the player renting it. Now that he’s gone, and I say this with all due reservation since I don’t have a source, it’s just speculation, the family may have decided to finally sell.

Angela Price mentioned this fall that the family was missing the Candiac house and maybe even considering not selling after all. Now that it’s done, and at a reduced price, we can really believe it’s over.

Carey won’t play for the Habs anymore, we’ve known that for a while. But it’s still painful to see him drift so far from the team. He’s been a big part of the organization for over 15 years.
