Last-minute surprising announcement from the Canadiens: A trade coming in the next few hours?

The NHL trade deadline is this Friday, and we will finally learn the fate of Canadiens players who have been at the center of rumors for several months.
Among them, the most talked-about is Jake Allen. The goaltender has been on the trading block since before Christmas, and Kent Hughes is definitely working to move him.
So much so that the veteran will be in the Canadiens’ net on Tuesday night in Nashville. This announcement may seem insignificant, but it is not. In the last game in Tampa Bay, it was Cayden Primeau defending the Canadiens’ goal.
This means that Samuel Montembeault has not played since last Thursday and will not see action until this Thursday. His backups have two consecutive starts, which is certainly not a coincidence. It’s a very rare occurrence.
“Jake Allen will be in net against the Predators on Tuesday.”
It will be interesting to see if Martin St-Louis will send out Allen or Primeau once again on Thursday night, the last game for the Habs before the decisive date.
