last-minute signing alert by the montreal canadiens: 23-year-old finnish forward jesse ylonen is finally inked

It has just been announced that the Montreal Canadiens have reached an agreement with forward Jesse Ylönen for a one-year, two-way contract.
Since his NHL debut, the 23-year-old Finnish player has scored eight goals and added 13 assists in 52 games.

BROSSARD – Montreal Canadiens general manager Kent Hughes announced on Monday that the team has agreed to terms on a one-year, two-way contract with forward Jesse Ylönen.
The Scottsdale, AZ native played 37 games with the Canadiens last season, scoring six goals and adding 10 assists (three career highs in the NHL). Ylönen also scored a power play goal and a game-winning goal. In 52 career NHL games, the 23-year-old forward has registered eight goals and 13 helpers.
Ylönen started the 2022-23 season with the Laval Rocket in the AHL, where he recorded 32 points (11 goals, 21 assists) in 39 games. Since making his AHL debut in 2020-21, he has tallied 34 goals and 51 assists in 120 games with Laval.
Ylönen was selected in the second round (35th overall) in 2018 by the Canadiens.
