Canadiens forward Andrew Shaw has been suspended three pre-season games for boarding Washington Capitals defenceman Connor Hobbs. After being dragged down near the blue line by the Caps Jay Beagle, Shaw set his sights on Hobbs and drove him into the glass with a hit from behind.

Following a fight, Shaw was assessed a five minute major for boarding, five minutes for fighting, a ten minute misconduct and a game misconduct.
